Born to Run: Dog Parks in Columbus


Spring has sprung! Fido has been itching to get outside all winter long and now that the weather’s warmer, it’s time to move outdoors! Walks around the block and fetch in the backyard are great, but nothing gets a pooch as excited as going to a dog park! Not only are they open spaces for your dog to get exercise, they’ll also get to socialize with other golden retrievers, bulldogs and schnauzers. Check out these Columbus parks for the place to take your puppy this weekend.

Godown Park

This well-maintained park is Worthington is spacious – 7 acres! – so there is lots of room to run.

Pizzurro Dog Park

With separate areas for small and large dogs, plus an agility course and water fountains, this park is one of the best on the east side of Columbus.

Nando’s Dog Park

Scioto Audubon Dog Park

Head downtown for this park that’s complete with a lots of land to roam, plus a sand pit and agility equipment.

Alum Creek Dog Park

Dogs near the norther suburbs will love this park because there’s 4 acres for playtime, plus a dog beach!

Spindler Dog Park
